Wilson Whitetail Ranch & Shooting Preserve is located in the heart of South Texas. Approximately 50 miles South of San Antonio, our private ranch overlooks acres of prime hunting landscape. If you book one of the premier deer hunting trips, your stay will include 5 star accommodations in the new 5,300 square foot lodge. Ending our 2007 Season, many of our whitetail deer hunting trips have also resulted in prize winning trophies, including more 160"+ entries in the Los Cazadores Deer Contest than any of the other Texas hunting ranches.

However, we also do more than just deer hunting. We offer exotic game hunts, sporting clay target shooting, and quail hunting. Texas provides us with a perfect habitat to hunt a variety of birds, including dove and wild Bobwhite Quail. Our facilities and staff also enable us to cater to your group outing, including business and corporate events. Out of over 3000+ entries in the Los Cazadores whitetail deer contest (largest deer contest in the world), WWR had a record 14 trophy whitetails exceeding the contests 160 inch minimum score last season and 3 of our hunters entries made the contests Top 50. Additionally, our hunters placed 1st in most points, biggest 9 point, & 3rd place in heaviest mass.

Our largest buck & new ranch record (227") won the Overall South Zone Big Buck Contest hosted by the Exotic Wildlife Association/Trophy Game Records.

WWR experienced a record setting 2007 deer season with an impressive 14 whitetail bucks scoring over 160”. Our previous ranch record of 184” was shattered with 1 whitetail scoring 195, and a whopping 3 whitetails scoring over 200” with our new ranch record scoring 227”.
